Serving our country in the military together creates a bond between men and women that lasts a lifetime.
Now countries apart, the bond between two men in the U.S. Navy is locked forever. They have since gotten married, their wives have become great friends and one has a family of 3 little girls.
To honor their friendship, I was asked to create a symbolic treasure to tie their bond of family, love and country as a forever keepsake for their home – featuring the three sisters.
Created for the family to enjoy for years to come, I painted three separate canvases that together are one piece, connected. Separate, they are a part of each other always. So when the girls grow up and ‘leave the nest,’ they will each will take their artwork with them and be forever connected to their sisters with their own color, piece of the patriotic symbol and unique poem about sisterhood on each –
