Savored Lives Together.

Karen and John are very proud parents. When describing their son’s wedding, their eyes light up remembering what a beautiful, fun and thoughtful wedding their daughter-in-law Carole had for not only her and her husband Andrew but for all the guests. Just to give you an example, Carole had flip-flops for all the women when their feet got tired from wearing heels all day!

When Karen and John started planning their summer trip to New York to spend with ‘the kids’ earlier this year they thought that because they would be spending Carole and Andrew’s wedding anniversary with them that they wanted to give them something special. As they described Carole and Andrew to me, she said they share a love of food, wine and travel and that she’d like something that incorporated that in their painting with the colors of the wedding, featuring Carole’s elegant lace dress designed by Vera Wang. I wrote a short poem, “Our love of wine and breaking bread are savored. Through sharing our lives together forever.” And I scripted places they have traveled in the background that only they can see close up.

34 textured layers in all, I named their 14″x14″ painting ‘Savored Lives Together.’
