Jenna and I met through Colette’s Catering where she was coordinating her sister’s wedding at the Muckenthaler Mansion last August. After trading many emails and meeting Jenna to deliver her sister’s surprise cherry blossom painting, she told me she too was getting married and in December in Palos Verdes. I was giddy at the location because that is where my husband and I got married. I was thrilled when she told me her mom wanted both of her girls getting married in 2011 to have their dresses and love stories painted! I couldn’t wait to find out exactly what that meant for Jenna.
Jenna planned her entire day on how she met her husband Matt in Elementary School. Every detail was creatively crafted around that as the theme, with burnt orange and marine blue as their colors. Complete with a vintage desk, pencil name cards, pop-quiz invitations, and a dessert table – Jenna spared no detail. For me, seeing the wedding photos and Matt in his Coast Guard uniform made the experience complete as one of the most romantic weddings I have ever seen.
